Sometimes I just feel sick of dreamy sweet colour of those English roses. Sorry for using this word to describe the DA rose hahaha. Then came the Pat Austin, the lively and sassy orange one, named after David Austin's wife. And I think he made the right decision to so name. I couldn't help falling for his wife also, lolsss.
Growing the Pat Austin in my garden is generally as same as growing the other english roses in the way that there would never look like ones in the catalogue. Pat Austin in my garden drops very fast. Just only a day that I can appreciate its pretty flowers. Sunlight here is way too strong for little Pat to be beautifully there in its container. To avoid this problem, I simply cut them flowers and vase'em up. Does this help? No. Sorry to disappoint you. Pat Austin's petals are too delicate to survive the temperature in my country though. Sad. However, shouldn't I regret that. Pat Austin is considerably flowering and good repeating. I'll take this as a compensation instead lol.
They should have had more petals unless the weather wasn't good enough. |
